1.0 User access and login details are personal

Your user access, meaning the login you use for the research portal, is personal and linked to a specific name and email address. Neither the subscription owner nor any individual user connected to the subscription may share their login with colleagues, vendors, or others. We fully understand that there may be several people in your organisation who would like access, so call us instead for a good multi-user offer.

1.1 User access can be reassigned and managed by the subscription owner

User access under the subscription can be reassigned internally within the company to which the subscription belongs. Your subscription owner decides this and can delete, pause, and otherwise manage user access. This is done on the subscription owner’s self-service page, “My Quarterly”.

1.2 User access cannot be taken to a new company

User access is owned by the organisation that purchased the subscription. If you move to a new company or stop working for the company, your right to use your access ends.

2.0 The information belongs to us

Quarterly Analytics makes its living by providing you and our other subscribers with unique data and information. We charge for that information.

Therefore, all material on the site and in the printed edition of Quarterly Analytics is subject to copyright. You may not transfer, reproduce, or otherwise distribute or reproduce our material to your vendors, customers, or other external parties without our explicit written permission.‌ This applies to research, pricing data, indices, tools, and all other material that requires a subscription to access.

2.1 You may share individual pieces of downloaded research internally within the company

Quarterly Analytics research covers a broad range of topics – from strategic and financial to legal and operational matters. If, from time to time, you come across a research article that you think a colleague in another department would benefit from reading, download it and send it to them. We want our research to create value and be used across your organisation, and we consider this fair use.

2.2 You may not empty the research database

There is a download limit of 10 research items per day per user. This minimises the possibility of downloading our entire research database over a short period, as this is not considered fair use. You will be notified automatically if you reach the limit. If you are working on a specific project that requires an unusually large amount of research and need the block lifted, do not hesitate to write to us at qa@zangenberg.biz.

2.3 QA price indexation in contracts

Our pricing data and indices are key IP for us and may, as described in section 2, not be shared externally. If Quarterly Analytics price indices are used as a price adjustment mechanism written into a contract, both parties – customer and vendor – must therefore be subscribers to Quarterly Analytics for the period the agreement runs. Remember to ask your counterparty whether they are subscribers before including it in the agreement.

Alternatively, you can license individual indices for use in connection with a specific agreement if one party does not wish to take out a subscription. Contact us at qa@zangenberg.biz to learn more about licensing.

You can see the prices for customer and vendor subscriptions here.

Are you unsure about how you may use Quarterly Analytics’ information? Then call us or email your questions to qa@zangenberg.biz

3.0 Your subscription is ongoing

When you take out a subscription to Quarterly Analytics, it is a rolling subscription for one year at a time and renews automatically. The subscription only stops when you give notice (see 3.2).

3.1 Subscription term

The subscription term renews automatically on the first day of the month in which the subscription was originally entered into. Your subscription owner can always see this date under their “My Quarterly” tab on the portal.

3.2 Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your subscription, this must be done by your subscription owner under their “My Quarterly”. The cancellation simply needs to be made no later than the last business day before the new subscription term starts. You can always see who the subscription owner is in “My Quarterly”, and if that person has left, you can always write to qa@zangenberg.biz.

3.3 Use of QA material during the notice period

We only close your user access to the portal when the subscription expires. During that period, you may freely use research, pricing data, and tools, switch users, participate in network meetings, and use course discounts, etc. However, a stricter download limit on research applies during this period. You can read more about this in our cancellation guide, which you can find here.

3.4 Use of QA material after the notice period

Once the subscription has been closed, your and all associated users’ right to use downloaded digital material also ends. This includes our pricing data, indices, tools, and other research material. Printed reports may, however, continue to be used.

4. In the event of errors in research

Our goal is always to deliver fully reliable information. If, contrary to expectations, a situation arises where an error has found its way into a QA publication, we will contact you by email as soon as we become aware of the issue and send you updated material. Our liability for direct as well as indirect losses is limited to the annual subscription amount.

5. About fair use and misuse

Quarterly Analytics is a small Danish company, and we consider the vast majority of use of the Quarterly Analytics service to be fair use. We want our research to be used in your organisation, and the last thing we want is to stand in the way of you getting value from it.

That said, we reserve the right to suspend access to research for the individual user and/or account if usage patterns are detected that exceed fair use of the service. This applies in particular to attempts to “empty” the research database and improper dissemination or manipulation of our research.

For us, this is absolutely a last resort, and we will always contact you/your organisation with a view to dialogue if we reach that point.

6. Communication

As a user of Quarterly Analytics, you will receive two types of communication from Quarterly Analytics

Service emails from our core mailing list:

  • Quarterly emails about new research
  • Introductory emails related to your onboarding to the service.
  • Important information about your user account:

This could, for example, be an email if you have been paused by your subscription owner, if the subscription has been cancelled and your user access is scheduled to be closed, if the subscription owner role has been transferred to you, or if we have changed our terms of use.

As a user of the service, you cannot opt out of these emails.

Other newsletters:

  • Invitations to our in-person Coffee and Numbers network meetings
  • Newsletters tailored to your specific role
  • Information about training

As a user of the service, you can always unsubscribe from these lists.

You can do this under the Communication menu item in your version of “My Quarterly”

Regarding newsletters from Zangenberg Analytics

If you participate in webcasts with our sister company Zangenberg Analytics, you will receive emails with information related to them.

You can always unsubscribe from that list at the bottom of the emails you receive from Zangenberg Analytics.
